grace and gown
The owner’s old site had served her well but she needed a completely new design for a rebranding project. Careful redirection was used to minimise the SEO effects of the move to a new domain and email continuity assured. At the same time we added extra functionality in the form of a wedding dress blog and a new custom booking facility.

A smart and welcoming yet professional online presence was needed for a well established local business of many years’ standing. Taking advantage of some stellar photography, the site uses cool greys and pinks to gel with the salon’s logo and pretty aesthetic. Numerous CTA’s are seeded throughout the site to maximise client engagement.
Lostock Military Fitness
With lots of similar outfits competing for custom, LMF’s site needed to stand out from the crowd. While retaining the military ethos which hardcore fitness fanatics crave, the site clearly demonstrates how the workouts are tailored to the needs of all levels and abilities. Copywriting and tone of voice is no less important than layout, design and user experience.
This local technology firm with national reach needed a new website to accomodate their growing role as a distributor for cutting edge scientific equipment. Primed with a new logo, colour scheme and an extensive product catalogue, the site will continue to develop as Systematic Instruments expands its operations and takes on new suppliers.
A new website for a new company supplying high tech sampling instruments to the steelmaking industry. Using original branding and visuals from the ground up, this commission also uses an e-commerce facility and PayPal gateway. The site is currently being expanded to accomodate the product range from Equilab, a new supplier based in Madrid.
hazel grove reform club
A local institution since it was built way back in 1903, the Reform wanted a new website and custom content to replace an ageing design which was no longer fit for purpose. It was slow, poorly optimised and looked dreadful on mobile. Nor was it making the most of their function room facility. Their new website solves all these issues – in style.
“We used Sites by James to redesign our salon website. We have been thoroughly impressed with his personal, enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable service. He has been so patient when we have made many adjustments and kept adding ideas and suggestions through out the building of the website process. He is always only too happy to help and nothing ever seems too much trouble. James has been consistent with advice and different ideas and following the launch of our website has given us useful and interesting reports helping us make the most of it. He has been on the ball with website updates during the lockdowns and closures due to Covid 19. We would wholeheartedly recommend James. Excellent all round.“
The Hair & Beauty Retreat
“James has built an amazing website for me which I’m very proud of. The site has grown with my business so that visitors can now buy merchandise as well as signing up for paid subscriptions online. James is totally professional but adds a personal touch to the way he does business. He worked very closely with me to create a ‘tone of voice’ for the site which reflects how I want to promote my brand. Highly recommended.”
“We couldn’t be happier with the new website for Hazel Grove Reform Club. James has done a great job. We told him what we wanted and he took loads of photos and came back with a smashing design. He has definitely got a way with words! Our new site gets a lot more visitors and bookings for the function room have already picked up so it’s definitely working.”
“My old website was slow, outdated and looked awful on mobile. James took the time to get to know me and my business, advising on fonts, colour schemes and layout but I always felt in control and this was very much a joint project. Updates are carried out extremely quickly and he’s always at the end of the phone or ready to come in for a chat so I’m no longer left on my own with it. I can’t recommend him enough!”
